Tony takes part at the 4th Zamperllauf (Dog-Walk) 2013

On 07.07.2013 the time had come for the 4th Zamperllauf (Dog-Walk) organized by the animal welfare organization Streichelbande e.V. After Tony´s arriving from Frankfurt, he got a step counter on the registration station. He walked with his buddy Carmelo several kilometers, to be exact over 7.5 km, in the English Garden in Munich for a good cause. Start and finish of the walk was the Chinese Tower in the English Garden. Shelters in Munich and the surrounding area received food donations for their animals. For every kilometer a portion dog or cat food was donated.

The route was very well marked, by having to follow the orange ribbons, usually attached on trees and shrubs, and on the way back following the blue-colored ribbons. While following this route, you came to a total of six stations where children and adults had to answer, addressed to the respective target group, questions. Was the answer right, you got a (dog´s paw) stamp on your list and could move on. Tony and Carmelo were able to answer many things right.

Play-Station for Dogs and Humans

After they had walked through half the distance, there was a play station for dogs and humans. Here, Tony was able to train at various playful exercise stations. There were for example smell, balance, coordination or jumping exercises. Tony had a lot of fun. After they arrived back at the Chinese Tower, the list was given back into the registration station, which was also the last stop of the walk. A look at the step counter showed how many dog steps Tony walked: over 18,000! A super performance for the little pug.
